With the help of Milliron and Associates, IDLCPA is submitting revised bill language for an Interior Designers Practice Act the first quarter of 2009. Once the bill is introduced IDLCPA will host informational meetings across Pennsylvania to answer questions working the grassroots effort. This bill (as submitted) will not pass without a committed effort from designers. We need all designers to get involved.
Opposition has been extremely vocal, mainly coming from out-of-state radical groups like IDPC and the Institute of Justice. The NKBA is also waging war on licensing and has targeted Allied ASID members spreading misinformation about the PA Interior Designer’s Act. Be “IN THE KNOW” and read our literature presenting the facts about regulation. Our most recent literature is found on the resources link.
We want to hear from you! Please let us know what you are hearing and how we can help you. IDLCPA is committed to protecting the practice of Interior Design and the proposed bill will not put professionals and related trades out of business. Please send an e-mail to IDLCPA or write a letter and send it to IDLCPA P.O. Box 44144 Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
